I was doing some thinking last night, which is something I have a habit of doing.

I've had this LJ for a very long time. And yes, when I started it, I was very much Tookish. But it occurred to me that this name, while adorable and in reference to one of my favorite authors, is not really me.

So, you will find me as elvardia now, in reference to a special place in one of my own stories. I think it's better suited to me.

I don't typically like memes about things like the New Year, since I think the Western New Year is kinda arbitrary and all. But I liked this one. Self reflection is good. :) Ganked from merynetjeru.

1. Collect anything (or find yourself drawn to shiny objects - Bast kids don't really need to answer, but they can)?

- I used to collect weird little ceramic people, mostly dressed in 18th century garb, but those went the way of the dodo when I left for college. These days I collect random things--at the moment, I have a shelf in my office with a water spitting dragon, a candle, a miniature English cottage, some small vases (one from China, one from Morocco), a wizard, a frog prince, and a jar that says 'fantasies'. I love Shiny, but myself, am just an eclectic.

2. Have a favorite movie or two that you can watch over and over and over again? How about television shows? What can you watch repeats of over and over again?

- Not as much as I used to. When I was a 'tween, I would watch movies over and OVER again. Especially if there was a Corey involved. I have memorized most of The Goonies and Stand By Me as well as most of the TMNT movies. And the Young Guns films. Among others.

3. Have/have had any unusual pets (something beyond a cat, dog, goldfish, budgie, or hamster)?

- I used to be a turtle fanatic. I had a painted turtle named Gus and a Box turtle named Brutus. Gus died at my friend Allison's house, while Brutus was eventually given to a farm. He's probably still alive.

4. Have a food or drink that you must have every day (out of habit or addiction)?

- Um, coffee. Like every ex-Starbucks employee, I'm completely hooked on that crack.
